Abstract:Objective To analyze the structure and main influence factors of hospitalization expenses, and the difference of the change trend between the insured and the self-paying population, andto put forward pertinent suggestions to control the medical expenses. Methods The grey correlation analysis method was used to analyze the medical expenses of inpatients in a hospital from 2007 to 2017, and to distinguish between the insured and the self-paying population. Results From 2007 to 2017, the average medical expenses continued to rise. In 2011, the average expenses of self-paying patients began to exceed those of insured patients. The cost of medicine and consumables were the main factor affecting medical expenses. Medicine expenses have been effectively controlled, but the cost of consumables is rising continuously. Conclusion The focus of medical expense control in the future is the cost of medical consumables. At the same time, we should continue the pricing reform of medical service, improve the pricing standards that embody the labor value of medical staff, promote the healthy adjustment of medical expenses and guide the healthy development of the medical industry.
