Abstract：Objective To understand the debt situation of public hospitals in Shandong Province. Methods Qualitative and quantitative analysis and comparative analysis were used to study the changes of liabilities in public hospitals. Results At present, in order to improve the competitiveness of public hospitals under the circumstance of limited financial input, hospitals generally build by borrowing money. But at the same time, a large amount of debt has also brought heavy burden to public hospitals, hindering the longterm and healthy development of hospitals.Conclusion We should strictly control the debt scale of public hospitals, strengthen the control and management of financial risk of public hospitals, and implement the financial subsidy policy of public hospitals, effectively resolve the financial crisis of public hospitals and make them develop healthily.
