Abstract:Objective To analyze the application effect of information-motivation-behavior skill (IMB) model in the outside hospital management of cerebral apoplexy patients. Methods Totally 88 patients with cerebral apoplexy who were diagnosed and met the inclusion criteria in our hospital were selected from Jan. 2017 to Feb. 2018, and they were randomly divided into the observation group (n=44) and the control group (n=44) according to the random number table method. The control group was treated with routine outside hospital management, and the observation group was treated with IMB model intervention besides routine outside hospital management. The rate of reaching standard of clinical related indicators, the incidence and treatment of nursing problems, and the quality of life after intervention were compared between the two groups. Results After discharge, the rates of reaching standard of blood pressure, Hba1c and blood lipid of the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group (P<0.05). There were no significant differences in the rate of reaching standard of coagulation function and body mass index (BMI) between the two groups (P>0.05). The incidence of nursing problems of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group (P<0.05), while the correct rate of handling nursing problems was significantly higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). After the intervention, the quality of life of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion IMB model has significant effects in the outside hospital management of cerebral apoplexy patients.
