Abstract：Objective To use data mining technology to analyze and provide valuable information for the data of Guangdong province's statistical medical record database, and to provide strong support for hospital management decision-making. Methods We introduced the concept and main task of data mining, and clarified the various dimensions of data source and related data table. Results We conducted the analysis and study on the application of data mining technology in the management of the hospital including doctors′ workloads, the main diseases, comprehensive assessment of the departments, the quality of medical work and the cost of the same period, and got affirmation and support of the clinical departments and decision makers. Conclusion It is suggested that statisticians should strengthen the research of NC mining, deepen the statistical connotation and improve the quality of statistical analysis. Combining with the new medical reform, the data mining technology can reflect the situation of the hospital, of the departments, of the doctors, such as medical supplies and medical income, and the situation of patients treated, it can also improve hospital management efficiency, and enhance the scientific management of hospital management.
