Abstract:Objective To statistically analyze AIDS cases in the operation room of a tertiary referral hospital , to analyze the risk management and control measures of the nurses participating in the clinical emergency treatment of AIDS, and to reduce the risk of occupational exposure. Methods From January 2013 to December 2014, data of 213 patients treated in the emergency operating room were collected to analyze the disease distribution before and after the execution of the risk management and control measures, and to compare the success rate of operations, nursing staff′s occupational exposure rate, nursing and occupational exposure risk awareness before and after the execution of the risk management and control measures. Results In 2013, before the operations, 21 cases of AIDS were found, accounting for 0.732% of the total number of cases, and 23 cases in 2014, accounting for 0.797% of the total. The difference was not statistically significant. After the implementation of risk management and control measures, the protective measures of the operation room nurses were significantly better than the risk control, the occupational exposure awareness of nurses in the operation room was strengthened significantly, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Statistical induction and risk management and control measures can effectively improve the success rate of rescue, improve the medical personnel′s professional skills, reduce occupational exposure rate, improve medical safety, and be worthy of clinical application.
