Abstract:Objective To explore the effective way of nursing intervention of cochlear implantation for patients with severe hearing loss in children, and to observe the influence of nursing intervention on mental state and social life of the patients. Methods Nursing care of children with cochlear implantation was introduced after January 2014. From January 2014 to June 2014, 100 cases of patients with severe hearing loss were treated in our hospital. The children were divided into experimental group and control group according to the principle of complete randomization. Both groups of patients received the same multi-channel cochlear implantation and perioperative nursing care, and besides, the experimental group received postoperative rehabilitation training, psychological support and other nursing intervention. Before and after the operation, the communication mode of two groups was calculated, and the NICQ score and SCL-90 score of two groups were calculated. Results After 6 months and 1 year, the number of children relying on sign language in the experimental group was less than that of the control group (P<0.05); however, two years after surgery, the 2 groups mainly relied on language exchange, and there was no difference (P>0.05). In the experimental group, the score of NICQ was higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). In SCL-90 test, there weren′t differences in aspects of somatization, obsessive compulsive symptoms, depression and paranoia (P>0.05), but experimental group had lower scores in aspects of relationship, anxiety, hostility, terror and psychosis (P<0.05). Conclusion Nursing intervention in the patients with cochlear implantation can effectively alleviate the bad mood, increase the confidence of the children, and help children to integrate into the society as soon as possible to improve the quality of life after surgery.
