Abstract：Objective To analyze the average length of stay with DRGs grouping tool and explore the control measures of average length of stay.Methods DRGs grouping management tool was used to group medical records of the hospital in 2016 and the top ten disease groups were analyzed on the average length of stay. By comparing with the best average length of stay in the district, we found the differences and analyzed the reasons.Results It is clear that the efficiency of medical and technical departments, the utilization rate of operating room, and preoperative management are important factors affecting the average length of hospital stay.Conclusion Using DRGs grouping tool to analyze the average length of stay can not only effectively locate the problems and find out the reasons, but also provide the goals and basis for the further management of average length of stay.
