Analysis of risk factors related to Ventricular Aneurysm formation in Acute anterior wall Myocardial Infarction |

Abstract Objective To analyze the risk factors related to the formation of left ventricular aneurysm (LVA) after acute anterior wall myocardial infarction.Methods Totally 114 patients with acute anterior wall myocardial infarction were divided into the LVA group (44 cases) and the non-LVA group (70 cases) according to the occurrence of LVA.Routine check was performed including brain natriuretic peptide (BNP), hypersensitive C-reactive protein (hs-CRP), and echocardiography.Results The levels of BNP and hs-CRP in the LVA group were significantly higher than those in the non-LVA group (P<0.05).The time between the admission to the hospital and percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in the LVA group was significantly longer than that in the non-LVA group (P<0.05).Conclusion The levels of BNP and hs-CRP may be helpful for the formation of LVA in acute anterior wall myocardial infarction, and the early opening of PCI can effectively reduce the incidence of LVA.
