Abstract Myocardial reperfusion is one of the treatments for acute myocardial infarction, which can significantly improve the prognosis and reduce mortality, but it often increases myocardial cell damage in the early stage, and causes myocardial ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury. Autophagy is widespread in eukaryotic cells and plays a protective role in the growth and development of the body. In myocardial I/R, autophagy in the ischemic phase plays a protective role, and reperfusion phase plays a damaging role. In recent years, the mechanism of sirt1's involvement in autophagy has gradually attracted attention. Exploring the role of sirt1 in regulating autophagy in myocardial I/R injury will help to study the pathogenesis of myocardial I/R injury.
