Abstract Psoriasis is a chronic, recurrent, inflammatory disease of unknown etiology, mainly manifested as skin damage. In recent years, cardiovascular disease has gradually ranked first in the global burden of disease, and has become a public health issue that governments of all countries focus on. The cases with high risk of psoriasis complicated with cardiovascular disease show that psoriasis may be one of the risk factors for cardiovascular disease. Studying the correlation between psoriasis and cardiovascular disease is helpful to further understand these two complex chronic diseases and provide them with more diverse diagnosis and treatment. This article briefly summarizes the correlation between psoriasis and cardiovascular disease in recent years in terms of pathogenesis-related mechanisms.
