Expression and the clinical significance of SCIN in ovarian cancer |

Abstract Objective To investigate the expression and the clinical significance of SCIN in epithelial ovarian cancer.Methods Immunohistochemistry assay and western blot were used to detect the expression of SCIN in epithelial ovarian cancer tissues and normal ovarian tissues.Results The expression of SCIN in epithelial ovarian cancer tissues was significantly higher than that in normal ovarian tissues, and there was statistical significance between the two groups. The expression of SCIN was correlated with the clinical stage, grade of differentiation, lymph node metastasis and pritoneal seeding, while it is not correlated with age. The gray level of SCIN in epithelial ovarian cancer cells was significantly higher than that in normal ovarian cells, and there was statistical significance between the two groups.Conclusion The expression level of SCIN in epithelial ovarian cancer tissues is high, which indicates that it may participate in the occurrence and development of ovarian cancer, and it may become a tumor marker for clinical early diagnosis and a new target gene for treatment of ovarian cancer.
