Reform and exploration on the application of mixed teaching in basic nursing practice course |

Abstract Objective To explore the teaching methods suitable for basic nursing practice course by applying mixed teaching to basic nursing practice course, so as to improve the teaching quality and improve the teaching effect.Methods Two hundred and forty-eight nursing students of grade 2018 in a university were selected by cluster sampling and divided into the experimental group (128) and the control group (120). The experimental group adopted mixed teaching method and the control group adopted traditional practice teaching method. The results of in-class skill operation, skill operation at the end of the semester and average scores of the two groups were compared to evaluate the effect of mixed teaching.Results In the experimental group, the scores of in-class skill operation (86.94±4.98) and the skill operation at the end of the semester (87.51±4.29), and the average score (87.23±3.23) were higher than those in the control group (79.68±6.53), (78.93±6.69) and (79.31±5.79), and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion The application of mixed teaching method in basic nursing training course is conducive to students′ mastering of the difficulties in operation technology and stimulating students′ interest in autonomous learning. It is a preferred teaching method for students at present.
