Analysis on the status quo and influencing factors of medication compliance in patients with depression |

Abstract Objective To explore the influencing factors of medication compliance of patients with depression and improve their medication compliance.Methods With the method of random investigation, 200 patients with depression were selected as the objects of investigation who were treated in the Psychological Outpatient Department of Bin Medical University Hospital from April 2020 to September 2020, and general data questionnaire and the self-made medication compliance questionnaire were used for investigation and evaluation. Chi-square test and Logistic regression analysis were used for data analysis to explore the influencing factors.Results Among the collected 195 patients, the score of medication compliance was (1.91±1.37), and 59 patients had good medication compliance (total score was 0), accounting for only 30.26%. In terms of the influencing factors of medication compliance, occupation (medicine/non-medicine), monthly income, duration of medication, understanding of disease, satisfaction with doctors, and the presence or absence of adverse drug reactions in the past had significant differences (P<0.05). Logistic regression analysis showed that occupation, duration of medication, monthly income, understanding of the disease and satisfaction with doctors were all influencing factors of medication compliance.Conclusion The medication compliance of patients with depression is not optimistic. Occupation, medication duration, monthly income, understanding of the disease and satisfaction with doctors will affect medication compliance.
