| Retrospective analysis of pregnancy risk in the advanced maternal age |

Abstract Objective To provide a scientific basis for strengthening the health care of high-age women during pregnancy and improving pregnancy outcome. Methods Totally 2 994 cases in the advanced maternal age group≥35 years and 16 172 cases in child-bearing age pregnancy at the same time of inpatient delivery were collected, and the medical records of the two groups were compared and analyzed. Results The complications of gestational diabetes mellitus, preplacental placenta and placental abruption in the advanced maternal age group were significantly higher than those in the child-bearing age group (P<0.05), and the incidences of adverse outcomes such as fetal growth restriction and fetal malformation in the advanced maternal age group was significantly higher than those in the child-bearing age group (P<0.01). The incidence of intervention preterm delivery in the advanced maternal age group was higher than that in the child-bearing age group (P<0.01). Conclusion In order to reduce the incidence of comorbidities and long-term complications, to ensure the safety and health of mothers and infants, we should promote appropriate age pregnancy.
