| Effects of gasbag midwifery assisted vaginal delivery on labor process and pregnancy outcomes of puerperae with scarred uterus and previous history of cesarean section |

Abstract Objective To analyze the effects of gasbag midwifery assisted vaginal delivery on labor process and pregnancy outcomes of puerperae with scarred uterus and previous history of cesarean section so as to provide a reference for clinical delivery of such women.Methods The control group underwent routine vaginal delivery, while the observation group underwent gasbag midwifery assisted vaginal delivery. The delivery mode, labor process and pregnancy outcomes were compared between the two groups.Results There was no significant difference in the delivery mode or pregnancy outcomes between the two groups (P>0.05). The first stage of labor, the second stage of labor and the total labor time of the observation group were significantly shorter than those of the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion Gasbag midwifery assisted vaginal delivery can effectively shorten the labor process of puerperae with scarred uterus and previous history of cesarean section, without increasing the risks of conversion to cesarean section, forceps delivery or adverse pregnancy outcomes.
