Abstract Objective This article embarks on constructing the anti-bacterial coating by using Polyamidoamine (PAMAM) for modifying the titanium implant surface, then the properties of the coating is accessed.Methods PAMAM was used to construct antibacterial coating on the surface of Titanium. Then, scanning electron microscope (SEM),x-ray energy spectra (EDS) and surface contact angle analyzer were employed to research its characteristics. It was soaked in simulated body fluid (SBF) to detect bioactivity in vitro. Its short/long-term antibacterial property for Staphylococcus aureus and colibacillus were observed.Results PAMAM could modify the surface of Titanium successfully and it has good bioactivity in vitro,The modified Ti sheet possesses good short/long term antibacterial property for Staphylococcus aureus and colibacillus.Conclusion PAMAM can construct a favorable antibacterial coating on the surface of Titanium.
