Value of IVIM sequence in diagnosis of prostate cancer and benign prostatic hyperplasia |

Abstract Objective To investigate value of the parameters of intravoxel incoherent motion (IVIM) sequence in the differential diagnosis of prostate cancer and prostatic hyperplasia.Methods Fifty cases of prostate cancer and 45 cases of benign prostatic hyperplasia were examined by magnetic resonance IVIM sequence and DWI sequence,and the ADC value,the pure diffusion coefficient (Dslow), the pseudo diffusion coefficient (Dfast) and perfusion fraction (f) value of the patients with prostate cancer and prostatic hyperplasia was compared.The parameters of prostate cancer and benign prostatic hyperplasia were established,and the ROC curve was established.The area under the ROC curve (AUC)was analyzed, and the diagnostic efficiency of each parameter was compared.Results The value of ADC and Dslow of prostate cancer was significantly lower than that of benign prostatic hyperplasia,and the value of F was higher than that of benign prostatic hyperplasia.The difference of P≤0.05 was statistically significant,and the difference of Dfast value was not statistically significant.The AUC of the Dslow below the ROC curve was the largest and the diagnostic efficiency of Dslow was the highest.Conclusion ADC, Dslow and F can differentiate prostate cancer from benign prostatic hyperplasia, but Dslow has the highest diagnostic efficiency.
