Abstract Objective To know the effect of the second child's birth on the quality of children's life and to provide the basis for improving the quality of children's life.Methods The children of the second grade were investigated by PedsQL4.0 in lanzhou city.Results 216 children were investigated.The life quality score differences were not statistically significant (P＞0.05) for the boys and girls,the physiological function score of children who had brothers or sisters was lower than that of only children(P＜0.05) with statistical significance,and other differences had no statistical significance (P＞0.05).Conclusion The overall life quality of children was low.We should strengthen health education for children especially for those who have brothers or sisters.The parents should give more love and respect,increase children’s security sense,and improve the quality of life.
