Meta-analysis of the correlation between Vitamin D and diabetes Mellitus with pulmonary tuberculosis |

Abstract Objective To use the meta analysis method to study the correlation between vitamin D and diabetes Mellitus with pulmonary tuberculosis(DM-PTB), provide evidence-based medical reference for clinical DM-PTB prevention and treatment.Methods All published studies on the case-control experiment of the correlation between vitamin D and DM-PTB retrieved from databases such as CNKI, VIP, CBM, Cochrane, Wanfang, PubMed, and Web of science were collected from the building date of these libraries to April 2020. Data were independently extracted by two reviewers according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Literature qualities were assessed by the NOS table and meta-analysis was carried out by revman 5.1.Results Eight studies with a total of 1151patients were included. The vitamin D levels in the DMPTB group were significantly lower than those in the PTB group (SMD=-0.73, 95%CI:-1.34~-0.13).Conclusion The current study shows that vitamin D has a certain correlation with DMPTB.
