Effect of obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome on early functional deterioration of acute cerebral infarction |

Abstract Objective To further explore the effect of obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome (OSAHS) on early neurologic deterioration (END) in patients with acute cerebral infarction through clinical prospective study.Methods Seventy-six OSAHS patients with acute cerebral infarction were selected, and 76 cases of acute cerebral infarction in the same period were selected as the control group. Age, disease history, blood glucose, blood lipid and blood pressure were measured and collected. All patients were examined by head and neck CT vascular imaging to determine the stenosis and stenosis rate. By referring to the definition of END, the incidence and time of END were compared between the two groups, and Cox multivariate regression analysis was performed for the relationship between OSAHS and END.Results There was statistically significant difference in the overall incidence of END admission between the two groups (P<0.05). The time interval between END and onset, END and admission in THE OSAHS group was smaller than that in the control group (P<0.05). After taking diabetes history, coronary heart disease history, hypertension history, thrombolytic therapy, body weight, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, A1c, total cholesterol and other covariate factors into account, OSAHS was still a significant risk factor for END, P=0.035, RR=3.359.Conclusion OSAHS disease is a significant risk factor for END.
