Abstract Objective To investigated the anti-nociceptive effects of EGCG on neuropathic pain induced by chronic constriction of sciatic nerve injury (CCI) in mice. Methods Establish the models of the chronic constriction injury of sciatic nerve, using the von Frey, plantar, cold-plate, to assess the effect of different doses of EGCG (100, 65, 20 mg/kg) on mechanical, radiant, thermal respectively. Results Compared with CCI group,EGCG of 100, 65 mg/kg could improve the operated lateral paw withdrawal threshold, prolong the operated lateral paw withdrawal latency and reduce the counts of the operated lateral paw withdrawal (P<0.05). Conclusion EGCG can alleviate CCI-induced neuropathic pain.
