Effect of pre-etching time on the marginal microleakage of the V caves after the composite resin filling |

Abstract Objectives To reduce the time of pre-etching on the basis of preacid etching 15 s,and to study the effect of reducing the preacid etching time on the marginal microleakage of the V caves after the composite resin filling.Methods Eighty freshly extracted molar teeth were randomly divided into four groups,20 in each group, which were treated by pre acid etching time 0 s, 3 S, 10 s and 15 s respectively.Then the Results were analyzed with the evaluation criteria of the 0~4 level microleakage.Results The microleakage of all pre-etching groups was significantly lower than that of the non pre-etching group,but there was no significant difference in microleakage between different etch groups.Conclusion Reducing the time of pre etching can reduce the marginal microleakage of V class cavity after composite resin filling,nothing to do with pre-etching time.Dentists can reduce acid etching time to reduce the adverse effect of acid etching on dentin adhesion.
