| Clinical curative effect and safety assessment of synchronization radiotherapy and sequentialchemotherapy on older patients with advanced gastric cancer |

Abstract Objective To study the clinical curative effect and safety assessment of synchronization radiotherapy and sequential chemotherapy on older patients with advanced gastric cancer.Methods 126 cases of elderly patients with advanced gastric cancer were selected,randomly divided into experimental group and the control group (n=63).The control group was given 5-fluorouracil joint dorsey after four to six cycles of chemotherapy with cisplatin and radiotherapy alone.The experimental group was given oxaliplatin into joint bevacizumab and capecitabine for 2 cycles of chemotherapy and radiotherapy.The therapeutic effect,survival rate and local control of 1 year,3 years,5 years,complications of two groups were observed.Results The total effective rate (92.1%) of the experimental group was obviously higher than that of control group (79.4%);The 1 year,3 years,5 years survival rate (68.3%,55.6%,46.0%) of experimental group were significantly higher than the control group (55.6%,46.0%,34.9%).The 1 year,3 years,5 years of local control (77.8%,63.5%,47.6%) of experimental group were significantly higher than the control group (63.5%,47.6%,38.1%).The incidence of complications (14.3%) of experimental group was significantly lower than the control group (31.7%).Conclusion The synchronization radiotherapy given to the elderly patients with advanced gastric cancer can better control the condition, improving survival and reducing complications, which is relatively safe.
