Correlation between mammographic characteristics and molecular subtypes of breast cancer |

Abstract Objective To verify the feasibility of predicting molecular subtypes based on mammography before surgery by analyzing the direct signs of breast cancer and the tumor characteristics and different molecular subtypes in immunohistochemistry.Methods The X-ray features and molecular typing of 139 cases of breast cancer in our hospital were analyzed statistically.Results Among all the mammographic characteristics of breast cancer, tumor was the most common type, and Luminal B was the most common molecular subtype. The direct signs of breast cancer were statistically significant with different molecular typing, P<0.01, and there was a significant correlation between the edge characteristics of breast cancer mass and whether there was calcification in the mass and molecular typing, P<0.01. Most breast cancers of the triple negative type and Luminal A type showed mass type, calcification was rare in the triple negative type, and marginal burrs were more common in the Luminal A type. Images with her-2 overexpression were not the same.Conclusion Mammography of breast cancer is helpful to differentiate its molecular subtypes, and to a certain extent can guide the clinical determination of treatment plan and prognosis judgment.
