| The value of ultrasonography in detection of bypass grafts after ligmentum teres hepatis-bridged combined with portacaval shunt |

Abstract Objective To explore the value of ultrasonography in detection of bypass grafts after Ligmentum teres hepatis-bridged combined with portacaval Shunt. Methods There were 43 patients of bypass grafts after Ligmentum teres hepatis-bridged combined with portacaval Shunt. Two-dimensional ultrasound and color Doppler was used to observed the bypass grafts at 3, 12 and 24 months respectively after the operation. According to different ultrasonic manifestations of bypass grafts, 2 groups were divided: group of patency of bridging vessels and group of Bridge stenosis. Results Three months after surgery, there were 41 cases with vascular patency, and 2 cases with vascular stenosis; twelve months after surgery, there were 38 cases with vascular patency, and 5 cases with vascular stenosis; Twenty-four months after surgery, there were 30 cases with vascular patency, and 13 cases with vascular stenosis. The probability of stenosis of the bypass grafts increased with time, while 3 months after surgery was compared with 24 months after surgery, P<0.05. Conclusion The color Doppler ultrasound was used as an important method to evaluate the success of the operation.
