Detection and analysis of biochemical markers of bone metabolism in diabetic osteoporosis |

Abstract Objective To investigate the relationship between the metabolic levels of fibroblast growth factor-23 (FGF-23), osteocalcin (OCN), collagen type I C-terminal peptide (CTX) and osteoporosis in diabetic osteoporosis. Methods Mice were randomly divided into three groups: control group, STZ group and US group. The changes of biomarkers of bone metabolism in serum, urine and bone were detected. Results Ursolic acid derivative (UAD) can significantly increase bone calcium content and bone mineral density, promote the expression of fibroblast growth factor-23 and OCN, and reduce the expression of PTH and CTX in diabetic mice. Conclusion Ursolic acid derivatives can improve STZ-induced osteoporosis by promoting new bone formation and inhibiting osteoclast bone resorption.
