| Diagnostic value of routine MRI scan combined with DWI and 3D-ASL in adult medulloblastoma |

Abstract Objective To evaluate the value of conventional MRI scan combined with DWI and 3D-ASL in the diagnosis of adult posterior fossa medulloblastoma.Methods Twelve cases of adult medulloblastoma confirmed by operation and pathology were retrospectively analyzed. All cases underwent conventional and DWI scanning, and 6 cases underwent 3D-ASL scanning.Results There were 6 cases in cerebellar hemisphere (50%),3 cases in cerebellar vermis (25%),2 cases in fourth ventricle (16.7%) and 1 case in cerebellopontine angle region (8.3%).MRI showed isointense or slightly low signal on T1WI,isointense or slightly high signal on T2WI and FLAIR,high signal on DWI and low signal on ADC.There were 11 cases of cystic degeneration or necrosis in tumor,1 case of calcification in tumor and 1 case of hemorrhage in tumor.The solid part of most tumors was obvious enhancement.Six cases of ASL showed hypoperfusion,and there was a significant difference between the CBF value of tumor and the CBF value of mirror side (P＜0.05).Conclusion Conventional MRI combined with DWI and 3D-ASL is of great value in the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of adult posterior fossa medulloblastoma.
